Toujours gratuit (on y tient), avec sa programmation résolument mixte (c’est pas négociable), ficelé et concocté par des bénévoles acharnés (et indispensables), le Montesquiou on the rock’s festival ressurgit tous les ans, fin août, pour faire trembler la petite bourgade du Gers. Montesquiou on the rock’s c’est :

– du brutal et du rural,

– une programmation internationale, mais une restauration locale,

– du rock non commercial dans une ambiance familiale,

– un mélange des genres et des publics qui fait toute la particularité de cet événement à taille humaine,

– un line-up qui brasse electro-punk, garage psyché, rock indé, punk rock, 60’s beat, et quelques bizarreries sonores,

– une afternoon party ensoleillée et ombragée pour garder au chaud les festivaliers (salon du disque, restauration rapide, jeux de bar, exposition, stands…),

– un déluge de bonnes vibes et d’esprit bon enfant, et une horde sauvage de DJ motivés !

Le cocktail est prêt, la recette est validée, y’a plus qu’à déguster, on the rocks ! 18 ans d’un festival hors norme, un mirage dans un village, un festival juste après le virage. The Montesquiou on the rock’s festival is always free of charge (we insist on it), with a resolutely mixed line up (it’s non-negotiable), put together and concocted by hard-working (and indispensable) volunteers. Every year, at the end of August, the Montesquiou on the rock’s festival resurfaces to rock the little village in the Gers. Montesquiou on the rock’s it’s:

– brutal and rural,

– international programming, but local catering,

– non-commercial rock in a family atmosphere,

– a mix of genres and audiences that makes this human-scale event so special,

– a line-up that mixes wild rock’n’roll, electro-punk, garage psychedelia, indie rock, punk rock, 60’s beat and a few sonic oddities,

– a sunny and shady afternoon party to keep festival-goers warm (record fair, fast food, bar games, exhibition, stands…),

– a deluge of good vibes and good spirits, and a special vinyl DJ set team!
